Jingletown Junction at Pro Arts Gallery

(The flier for "Jingletown Junction" w/ an oil painting by Jill McLennan.)

Hi friends! Just a quick post to let you know about this great show in Jack London Square in Oakland. I went to the opening last night as two friends of mine were included and the show was so much fun. Alison McLennan and I have been dear friends for nearly a decade and I've had the pleasure of watching her evolve into the furniture maker she is today. She's a great example of art & craft but instead of using paper or fabric she's using wood, plastic, and metal. She has 4 pieces included in the show and 2 lamps are to die for!

Her sister, Jill McLennan, organized the show through the Jingletown Arts & Business Community (they both live in Oakland's "Jingletown") and it's great fun to see 10 artists, all working in the same neighborhood, all making very different work, and gathered into one cohesive exhibition. So go check it out if you're anywhere near Jack London Square. It's at the lovely Pro Arts Gallery through April 25 with an Artist's talk on April 5. And while you're there you can pop over to the Swarm Gallery right next door. Enjoy!
